Inspiring innovation with STEM
Students created rockets at MakerMobile
CLARKSVILLE, Ind.— A 32’ long trailer, built to inspire innovation and help students expand their STEM skills, rolled over to Clarksville High School and Clarksville Elementary School on Monday, Aug. 20.
Students from both schools broke out into groups to visit the trailer. They used laser cutters, 3D printers, and more to create their own rockets and other items.
“Expanding our students’ exposure to STEM opportunities and how those relate to real-world challenges will help our students see how what they are learning in the classroom will apply to their lives and careers after school,” Scott Gardner, College and Career Readiness Coordinator.
The visit of the MakerMobile was funded by a grant to MakerMobile from the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana.
