Clarksville School Board Fills Vacancy
Teresa Cummings appointed to District 5 seat
The Clarksville Community Board of School Trustees has appointed Teresa Cummings to fill the District 5 seat vacancy during the Board’s special meeting on Tuesday, July 3.
The District 5 seat was left vacant after Board member James “Jim” Payne passed away on June 21. Cummings will fulfill the remaining time left on Payne’s term, which ends January 2021.
Cummings is the General Manager at Bella Built Roofing. She and her husband have lived in Old Clarksville for more than 20 years. They have three children. Their oldest child just graduated from Renaissance Academy. Their second child is a junior at Clarksville High School. Their youngest child is a sophomore at Renaissance.
“I think Teresa will be an excellent addition to the Board,” Board President Bill Wilson said. “Her heart is with Clarksville Schools.”
