Leaders from around Clark County gathered on Saturday, Jan. 16 for a special scholarship breakfast in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast serves as a special morning to recognize the equality efforts made by King, and serves as a fundraiser to raise money to distribute scholarships to seniors within Clark County schools.
The Town of Clarksville was represented by CCSC Board President Mr. Bill Wilson, Superintendent Kim Knott, Town Council President Paul Fetter, CCSC SRO Mike Popplewell and Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel.
Clarksville Middle School students and Renaissance Academy students were honored to attend the breakfast, as well as listening to a special panel debating on whether or not Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Dream has been deferred.
